![]() ![]() Only part of learning to draw is mechanical-the real value is understanding what makes up shapes and how to create modifications or new things from your imagination. Don't think for a moment that just because Affinity Designer can create perfect circles and fun shapes for you that you can invent new logos or designs out of nowhere. If you don't have a sketch or a drawing and can't find CC0 or royalty free artwork to trace, you either need to learn to draw or get someone else to draw for you. Programs like Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer allow you to create clean vector artwork based on sketches or drawings. Unless you have only a small number of simple tasks in mind and don't mind putting in a few hours to get used to the tools, you're in trouble. For that, you either need to learn to sketch and study composition or have someone else do that part for you. ![]() Valuable skills, to be sure! But the other half of the process is having something to trace in the first place. ![]() So with some work you can trace a logo or some text or whatever. For trying out different colors, there are large number of websites that offer nice color palettes, so you can browse those to find something that will work for your designs. However, do note that you'll only get accustom to using the tools if you actually, well, use them! Also, it is tricky to trace things well enough to use your results professionally.
